<\/figure>The orientation for 100 level Dentistry students was organized by the Dean of School of Dentistry Prof. N.I. Ize-Iyamu on Friday 21st march 2025.The event was attended by the Dean, Assistant Dean, All Head of Departments, Staff from Guardian and Counseling Unit of the University of Benin, Paedodontics and Prosthodontics Departments sent their representatives to speak with the students alongside the Guardian and Counselors. The orientation was very timely for the freshers as the speakers took turn to enlightened them. After the orientation, the students asked questions and they were properly briefed about basic things they needed to know.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>Prof. Mercy Okoh, Oral Medicine admonishing the students to take it one day at a time and forget about the total number of years they have to stay in school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She encouraged them to be interested in Dentistry to be able to focus and get to their goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She motivated them to show so much dedication and to love what they do and that Oral Medicine is a mediation between Dentistry and Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also told them not to look down on themselves as they are in one of the best Professions they think of as what matters is where they want to be in life and Dentistry can give them that life they envisage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
